Frequently Asked Questions

We answer your questions before you ask them.

General Questions

What is VCourse?

VCourse is a platform that allows you to conveniently view class schedules. It includes a web version and mobile applications for iOS and Android, so students and teachers from different universities can quickly find up-to-date schedules in one place.

We pay special attention to a clean and intuitive interface, implementation of additional functionality for user convenience, and the speed of our services.

Who is the service for?

VCourse is primarily designed for:

  • students who want to always have their schedule at hand;
  • teachers who need to quickly check their classes;
  • everyone who is tired of inconvenient, slow, or overloaded schedule websites.

The service is equally suitable for daily use from both a computer and a mobile device.

How does VCourse differ from regular schedule websites?

Unlike classic schedule websites, VCourse:

  • is available not only in a browser, but also as mobile applications;
  • works faster and more stable thanks to data caching;
  • does not contain embedded intrusive advertising;
  • has a simple and intuitive interface;
  • is constantly evolving to meet user needs.

We strive to create a service that is truly convenient to use every day.

Is VCourse available on my device?

VCourse is available on all popular platforms:

Web Version Works in any modern browser on any device.

Mobile Applications

  • iOS: version 17.0 and newer;
  • Android: version 10 and newer.

Who works on VCourse?

A small team of students works on VCourse.
We ourselves regularly encountered schedule problems at universities and therefore understand well what a convenient service should be like.

The project develops independently, without the participation of universities or large companies.

How does VCourse generate revenue?

At the moment, VCourse does not generate revenue.

Development and maintenance of the service are funded from the team's own resources.
In the future, we plan to launch our own service for managing academic schedules, which could potentially become a source of revenue and allow us to develop VCourse further.

Do you collect user data?

VCourse does not collect personal data that would allow direct identification of a user in any way.

We may receive limited technical data necessary for the service to function, usage analysis, and quality improvement. You can learn more about this in our Privacy Policy.

Universities and Data

I couldn't find my university in the list. Why?

We add universities gradually, starting with those where there is the greatest demand.

Here's how you can help us:

  • tell others about VCourse at your university — the more students show interest, the faster we will add support for it;
  • write to us at feedback@vcourse.app so we can include the university in our roadmap.

Where does VCourse get schedule data from?

VCourse receives schedule data exclusively from official authorized sources, including university system APIs. Under no circumstances do we make changes to schedules or have control over their content.

How often is the schedule updated?

When you request a schedule in VCourse, we form a request to an authorized data source and receive current information. This means that the schedule is updated every time you open or refresh the schedule on your device.

In cases where access to our service is impossible – when there is no internet connection or mobile network restrictions are in effect – the mobile application will display the last version of the schedule saved in the cache on your device.

The schedule is displayed incorrectly. What should I do?

  1. Check your internet connection and try refreshing the schedule.
  2. Compare with the official university website and make sure the problem is not in the source data.
  3. Contact us through the feedback form, providing all necessary information.

We promptly review such requests and take measures to resolve issues.

Project Future

Why does VCourse develop as an independent project?

VCourse develops as an independent project to ensure:

  • rapid implementation of functionality in demand by users;
  • focus on quality and ease of use, rather than quantitative metrics;
  • full control over not placing advertising or introducing subscriptions for users;
  • autonomy in decision-making and experimental activities.

How will the service develop in the future?

We are focused on expanding the list of supported universities (including in new regions), developing functionality in the web version and mobile applications. In parallel, we are working on developing our own service for managing academic schedules for universities, to monetize VCourse and remain independent.

How do users influence VCourse development?

Your feedback is an important part of the project development process. All messages and requests are analyzed and taken into account when planning functionality. We value your opinion and are ready to make changes based on your experience using the service.
