This update is the most significant in the project's history. Over the past few months, the service has evolved from a standalone iOS app into a full-fledged multi-platform ecosystem—supporting Android, Web, and several new universities.
We’ll share how VCourse broke the single-platform barrier, why it mattered, and what has changed for students and faculty following this release.
Android App Release
Since September 2025, thousands of students and faculty members have used VCourse daily. For many, the app has become the standard way to check schedules, plan their day, and stay independent of the university’s website.
But until now, VCourse was only available on iOS.
In practice, this meant a simple and, frankly, frustrating thing: a significant portion of students and teachers simply could not use the service, even if they wanted to. Many wrote to us asking about an Android version, but most were ultimately left without a convenient tool.
Over these months, it became clear: VCourse is no longer just an "iPhone app"—it has become a service that more people need than a single platform allows.

After months of development and weeks of both private and public testing, the VCourse app is officially available on Android. It is a full-featured app with the same key capabilities that iOS users already know well:
- Fast and convenient access to class schedules;
- Notes, favorites, and offline support;
- System-native design;
- Free and ad-free.
The app is already available for download. Install it from your preferred app store, select your university, and stay in the loop with VCourse!
Our Website and Browser-Based Schedule

While the Android launch was a steady, expected step, the website was a different story. Honestly—we didn’t expect to release the Web version so early.
Initially, the site was intended as a supporting tool: something simple to open the schedule from a computer and host our privacy policy. However, during development, it became clear that the browser offers much more freedom—and missing out on that would have been a mistake.
Thus, VCourse now has a full-featured website, featuring a schedule available directly in your browser, without any installation or platform restrictions.

The standout feature of the Web version is the weekly schedule format.
Unlike the mobile apps, which currently display the schedule one day at a time, the website allows you to see the entire school week at once. This is perfect when you need to:
- Quickly compare different days;
- Identify "windows" or free evenings;
- View the schedule on a large screen.
It’s important to note: the daily format in the mobile apps is not a permanent limitation. The weekly view will be coming to mobile as well, but the Web version became the first place where we could implement this format fully and conveniently.
In addition to the schedule and project info, the site hosts the blog you are currently reading. This is where we publish news, major updates, service changes, and future plans. It’s the place to understand where VCourse is headed and why certain decisions are made.
Furthermore, the site features a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. It contains answers to the most common questions regarding the service, available platforms, schedule data, and potential limitations. If something is unclear, the answer is likely already there.
New Universities: SibSUPC, SIBIT, and OIWT
This update is a milestone not only for new platforms but also for the expansion of VCourse's geography.

Previously, the service was available at only three universities. With the addition of SibSUPC, SIBIT, and OIWT, that number has doubled. For a project that started as a local solution, this is a major step forward.
Every new university is more than just another item on a list. It brings new schedule formats, different academic processes, and real users with diverse needs. Expanding the list of universities helps make VCourse more resilient, universal, and ready for further growth. The list of universities in VCourse will continue to expand—gradually, carefully, and with a focus on data quality and service stability.
The goal remains the same: to make a convenient and clear schedule accessible to as many students and faculty as possible—regardless of their university, platform, or device.
VCourse has moved beyond being a service for a limited circle of users and has become a platform that scales alongside its users—across devices, universities, and use cases.
